 On August 27/28 the biggest drag racing event of its kind anywhere in the world, the Jamboree, will celebrate its 21st birthday by hosting the wildest weekend of racing action ever. From the moment the gates open at 8:30am, Willowbank Raceway will play host to the world’s fastest import drag cars, awesome 7-sec street bikes, a dyno comp, three separate motorcycle stunt shows and heaps more off-track entertainment including babe and bikini shows, a mega show and shine, trade and car club displays and much more. Qualifying action begins Saturday morning with the best turbocharged race cars that Australia, New Zealand and the world have to offer hitting the quarter mile. Sunday is race day and the gloves will be off as the top teams battle for Sport Compact Drag Racing’s highest honour – a win at Jamboree! There’s a host of new, state-of-the-art Pro Turbo race cars on the scene too, all looking to knock over the world record performance of Rod Harvey from last year’s event, the Kiwi’s flying turbo Toyota as well as Australia’s quickest and fastest turbocharged car – the incredible twin-turbo big block Ford Mustang of Rob Campisi who recently ran the quarter mile in just 6.069-seconds at more than 397km/h!
