28-10-2012 at 23:00: New Aurion Special Edition

Toyota has a new special-edition Aurion V6 model, with added value-for-money features.

The new Aurion Touring SE has more than $1800 worth of added features inside and out compared with Aurion AT-X, on which it is based.

The new special edition is priced from $37,990 with an additional $425 for metallic paint.

The additional exterior features begin with 17-inch sports alloy wheels (in lieu of 16-inch on AT-X) including full size spare, front foglamps and sports grille.

It also has a rear spoiler and SE badge.

Inside, Aurion Touring has the additional features of premium steering wheel with audio controls and sports pedals.

Numbers are strictly limited, with Toyota’s Altona (Melbourne) plant to produce 1500 Touring SE models from September to December.

Six exterior colours are offered: Diamond White, Silver, Graphite, Eclipse Black, Wildfire and Reflex Blue.

Aurion Touring SE’s added specifications are over and above the standard features offered in Aurion AT-X.

These features include seven SRS airbags, vehicle stability control and traction control, dual-zone air conditioning, reversing camera and power-operated driver’s seat with lumbar support.

Aurion AT-X and Touring SE also have a multi-information display, Optitron instruments, eco indicator and six-speaker audio including AUX + USB input with iPod connectivity.
