08-10-2012: Kuga to be shown at AIMS

Ford’s new Kuga will be launching in Australia in 2013 but will make its Australian premiere at this year’s Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.

The Kuga, or the Escape as it’s known in the US, is on its way to becoming the best-seller in North America and Ford Australia say it is an important part of their line up in Australia and at the AIMS.

“The all-new Ford Kuga opens a new chapter in the world of compact SUVs where its blend of capability, technology and fuel efficiency will ring true for the customers,” said Ford Australia president and CEO, Bob Graziano.

Ford claim the new Kuga will deliver more versatility, ample luggage space and interior roominess plus a level of craftsmanship and quality expected from Ford around the world.

The design is a modern streamlined finish and will introduce new customer-focused smart technologies. Included in this smart technology is Ford’s new SYNC infotainment system.

Ford designers have made the Ford Kuga even more customer friendly, incorporating more interior space and a faster silhouette, a more precise design execution and a higher quality feel.

The closer customers get to the all-new Ford Kuga, the more they will love it, says Graziano.

The muscular, defined exterior shape is complemented by a dynamic, well-appointed interior featuring new levels of craftsmanship and technology. The cabin is modern and sophisticated and captures the expressive design and enhanced functionality of the vehicle.

The new EcoSport and award-winning Ford Territory will join the Ford Kuga as part of Ford Australia’s SUV family at AIMS.
