Renault continues to add more and more to its models with the Clio Sport 200 Cup not missing out. The 2012 model year Clio Renault Sport 200 Cup will now come standard with leather upholstery for the body hugging sports seats.

Further changes for the 2012 models include a white rather than yellow speedometer face, and red not yellow stitching on the chunky sports steering wheel.

The Alien Green and Mercury Grey paint options have been deleted leaving Liquid Yellow, Toro Red, Racing Blue and Black as the hues of choice for the Clio Cup.

The feisty, three-door, segment defining hot-hatch garners acclaim with every drive and its naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine has more than enough verve to see off a myriad of rivals.

Despite the addition of leather seats, the starting price for this most appealing of point-and-squirt fun machines remains at $36,490 (Manufacturer’s List Price – excludes metallic paint).

Production of the much sought-after Gordini and Australian Grand Prix editions has now finished.

“The addition of leather upholstery gives the Clio Renault Sport 200 Cup even more customer appeal,” says Justin Hocevar, Managing Director of Renault Australia.

“I love driving the Clio RS, it is one of my absolute favourites. You just can’t get out of the Clio without having a big smile on your face, thanks to the engine’s grunt and the chassis’s grip.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer the Clio RS with leather upholstery at no extra cost, continuing our theme of adding more tangible customer value to all our products offered in Australia.

“To date the market has responded exceptionally well to this programme, which started with the Mégane family launch in October 2010,” Justin said.
