MMAL vice-president corporate strategy, Paul Stevenson, welcomed the addition of another public charging station for i-MiEV users to the South Australian network. “As the i-MiEV gains popularity, the expansion of the charging network in Australia is an important step towards an electric future. i-MiEV owners can now re-charge at a number of locations in Adelaide, including the free fast charger located at Mitsubishi Motors’ head office in Clovelly Park,” Mr Stevenson said. The EV charging station at The Organic Market and Café, Stirling, was installed by ChargePoint and features Level 1 (15 amps) and Level 2 (32 amps) charging points. With the Mitsubishi i-MiEV available from selected Mitsubishi dealers in all capital cities, the new charging station is hopefully the first of many. |
A convoy of eight i-MiEVs attended the opening of the new charge point in the Adelaide Hills last week, with South Australian Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation, Hon. Paul Caica MP, officially launching the charger by plugging in a Mitsubishi i-MiEV.^ Back to top ^
