21-03-2012 at 10:00: Saab Parts Expands

Saab Automobile Parts AB is expanding its global operations. The company remained outside the 2011 bankruptcy of its parent, Saab Automobile AB. It has continued to operate without interruption, providing Saab’s global network of Authorized Repairers, consisting of about 1,200 workshops, with Saab parts, accessories and technical support.

The company has now established a new office in Trollhattän with approximately 50 staff recruited. This new group forms the commercial part of the business, responsible for purchasing, sales and marketing. Engineers and specialists have also been hired to serve the network of authorized workshops with technical information and technical support.

This new operation is added to the existing organization in Nyköping, where the corporate head office and warehouse, logistics and distribution operations are based.

“Today there are 1 million Saab cars on the roads worldwide and Saab Cars Australia continues to provide a full range of aftersales support for the Australasian network, says Stephen Nicholls, Managing Director, SCA.

“The last few months have been a busy and challenging time for all of us at Saab. We now believe we can demonstrate that we have a stable base to develop our business,” he said.
