07-03-2012 at 08:00: Pedders Racing Prepare Defence Assault

The 2012 Australian Manufacturers Championship (AMC) kicks off this weekend at Eastern Creek in New South Wales and many teams are out to defend their titles. The Pedders Racing team are one of these teams and set to defend their 2011 Titles, including Class E Champions, a clean sweep in the Drivers Championship and Best Presented Team.

With their new Team Manager Michael “Stig” Stiglich joining the ranks and hitting the ground running, the team is on track to head into the 2012 series on a high.

The team continues to do the little things to ensure that they have the best possible opportunity to succeed in this year’s expanded Championship.

AMC Category Managers Aaron and Angela McGill have continued with their outstanding work in developing the series and encouraging more entries into the category. With entrants including legends in motorsport Glenn Seton, John Bowe,  Jason Bright and even country singer Adam Brand taking the seat at one or more of the rounds last year, the series can expect to see even more people building the profile of the series and perhaps becoming regular faces amongst this close-knit group of race teams.

The Pedders Team will be honouring Symes Racing’s Neil Harmon at Eastern Creek in just a few days time. Neil was tragically killed in a Bus crash 3 weeks ago and will truly be missed by the teams and AMC community.

Due to Neil’s untimely death, the Symes team won’t be attending the first round.

“It has really upset the entire Symes Team to have lost a close friend and a colleague” said Daryl Martin from the Pedders Team.

“We have developed a bond between our teams and our hearts go out to all involved and we would like to especially thank all of the emergency services personnel involved in this unfortunate accident.”

The Pedders team wish to thank their invaluable sponsors Pedders Suspension, Valvoline, PBR, DBA, Bartercard, Reliance Petroleum, Fluidrive Bendigo, Georgina’s Restaurant Benalla, Moro and Dooly Accident Repair Centre, Atomik Motorsports Bendigo, MulchitES, J&A Freight, Australian Driver Magazine, Whiteline Performance Products, Reliable Rack & Pinion and Mark Weregoda Signs.

The team is excited about the future of the series, the growth of the team and racing at this National Level. Bring it on!
