Leading for the entire race, he demonstrated that he’s a force to be reckoned with, taking the 25-lap feature race from Jamie Maiolo and Brooke Tatnell. “I just can’t thank Luch enough for keeping me out here,” said Stewart of the Monte Motorsport team owner. “He is keeping me behind the wheel so when I do go back to America I will be pretty fresh.” It was Stewart’s third win, making him the only driver to claim a hat trick for the 2011/2012 season. Jamie Maiolo continues his campaign to take out this year’s AHG Sprintcar Series by securing second place on the night and giving him an even further lead ahead of his competitors on the leaderboard. “I would not normally be happy to run second, but Shane is no slouch,” said Maiolo. The series action resumes on Saturday March 24 at the Perth Motorplex with the running of the 50th Western Australian Sprintcar Championship.
