02-02-2012 at 08:00: Safety and Economy in Odyssey

The majority of people movers are wanted for families, and when your family is in the car you want them to be safe. Well not only is Honda’s priority safety it is also working hard on fuel economy.

The Honda Odyssey brings more style and safety to the people-mover category also offers Honda’s unique Ecological Drive Assist Program delivering excellent fuel economy.

The Odyssey’s touch-screen satellite navigation system and live traffic updates take care of the route while steering wheel mounted audio controls, integrated Bluetooth and cruise control make it easy to focus on the road ahead with both hands on the wheel.

Honda Australia Spokesperson, Mr. Lindsay Smalley, said the Odyssey makes safety a priority and offers the fun-to-drive experience you’d expect from a Honda.

“The Odyssey includes advanced safety features, from Honda’s responsive braking system to a rear reversing camera for maximum visibility, while the powerful i-VTEC engine and great handling ensure a joyful driving experience every time.”

The Odyssey doesn’t compromise on safety for any passenger. All seven seats are fitted with three-point (lap/sash) seatbelts, while front, side and curtain airbags protect passengers in every row of seating.

Honda’s unique G-Con technology is an advanced shielding system built into the Odyssey’s design offering protection in a collision. The Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure is designed to disperse the force of impact, reducing the risk of injury to passengers. Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering and Vehicle Stability Assist work together to ensure a safer and smoother drive.
