Ford Australia will be ‘pinking out’ the Ford Focus Moonlight Cinema in Sydney and Melbourne on Tuesday, January 17 for the screening of the Hollywood movie Dirty Dancing as part of the Piece by Piece online mosaic campaign to aid the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

For everyone who arrives in pink for the screening on the night, Ford will donate $5 to the Piece by Piece campaign. And because that other 1980s classic Dirty Dancing is on the bill, volunteers will be handing out some juicy watermelon on what promises to be a HOT PINK summer’s evening.

The Piece by Piece campaign is building an online mosaic made up of the faces or chosen images of those committed and caring people who want to donate a dollar, or more, to breast cancer research. These passionate supporters are also invited to add a message of encouragement, or in memoriam, to their image.

This project is aiming to unite friends, loved ones and communities in their common desire to discover the cause and the cure for a disease that affects more than 14,000 women – and their families and friends – in Australia every year.

Piece by Piece is building awareness and bringing people together to help solve the puzzle.

This fundraising night will take place at the Melbourne and Sydney Ford Focus Moonlight Cinema sessions on January 17. Tickets are available at www.moonlight.com.au or at the gates, subject to availability.

Melbourne venue details:
Gates open at 7pm, screening starts at sundown.
Location: Royal Botanical Gardens, enter via Gate D on Birdwood Avenue, South Yarra.

Sydney venue details:
Gates open at 6.30pm, screening starts at sundown.
Location:  Belvedere Amphitheatre, Centennial Park Paddington, enter via Woollahra Gates on Oxford Street.
