19-01-2012 at 08:00: 2012 Pedders Bendigo Motor Sports Display

Motor sport offers an array of different forms to watch and follow but not always does the general public, being you the fans and supporters, have the opportunity to get up close and personal with drivers and their machinery. That being said, Pedders Bendigo will be holding a free motor sports display this Sunday January 22.

The event is a static display of everything motor sport. Expected to be at the show are remote controlled vehicles, cars, bikes, boats, go-karts along with several trade displays, a jumping castle and race simulators.

Well known Australian drivers including Bosch ARC and Event Director for Rally Calder, Scott Pedder, will be in attendance to help promote the Australian Rally Championship and the all new event, Rally Calder.

Another attraction for the day will be a 42ft dual deck transporter from Heathcote Park Raceway. Surrounding their transporter will be a Jet Vehicle, Drag Car, Off Road Buggy, 4X4 Mud Racing Vehicle a few promotional staff and brand ambassadors who can answer questions about the cars and the Heathcote Park Raceway.

Bringing along one of their successful rally cars will be the brother and sister World Rally Academy duo of Brendan Reeves and Rhiannon Smyth who will sign autographs and talk about their year in the WRC Academy and their future in the sport.

“The day is about the promotion of all forms of motor sports at all levels”, said event organizer Daryl Martin.

“We want to encourage more participation by Central Victorians in every aspect of these sports. Not everyone is interested in being in the driver’s seat, there are a lot of people that want to get the best seat in the house and in motor sports there is none better than the seats occupied by officials.

“They are also the most important seats because without officials there is no motor sport.”

The Pedders Bendigo Motor Sports Display is located at 13 Phillips Drive, Kangaroo Flat Victoria and kicks off at 10am. Food, drinks and fun will be available all day.
