Kerry Madsen has continued to dominate this year’s AHG Sprintcar Series with another win at the weekend’s race at Coates Hire Bunbury Speedway.

The Kendrick team were able to produce a 1 – 2 finish with the ever consistent David Priolo placing third.

“Since Kerry arrived back from America, he has been in excellent form and is doing a great job and Jason is starting to show signs of maturity and is really putting some runs on,� said team boss Geoff Kendrick.

The race began with 19 drivers but only 9 completed the full 30 lap feature race.

Mark Wells had a tough night finishing fifth, battling the flu and a technical difficulty with his car, the night was not his.

“The car was pretty crap the whole night,� said Wells.

“We starting going ok for a while and I think we might have got up as high as third, running on the bottom but then the tyres stopped giving me drive and a couple of guys got around me.�

Heat one saw a dramatic finish for Shaun Bradford who rolled out of his car on fire, he suffered only minor burns and managed to take first place in the third heat.

With four rounds of racing under each of the drivers belts the AHG Sprintcar Series point score is starting to level out.

Jamie Maiolo continues with his top spot, but the margin is slightly smaller from his original 30 point lead, David Priolo is now only a mere 6 points behind.

Rookie competitor Trent Pigdon sits in third and is the only driver to have successfully completed all four feature races so far. Madsen sits in eleventh spot, despite missing a round.

The fifth round will be held at Perth Motorplex this Saturday night, November 26, for the annual “King of Wings� classic.
