The rookie spent Sunday night in hospital as a precaution following his fall. Going into Turn 1 on the first lap Abraham landed heavily when he was thrown from his Cardion ab Motoracing Ducati machine, and was later taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. After undergoing a series of medical checks it was confirmed that the 21 year-old had escaped serious injury, and he was kept in hospital close to the Aragón MotorLand circuit overnight for observation. Abraham was due to leave hospital Monday evening. |
Karel Abraham’s heavy opening-lap crash at Aragón on Sunday resulted in a light head concussion for the MotoGP rookie, but fortunately the Czech rider escaped serious injury.^ Back to top ^
