23-08-2011 at 09:00: Accord Euro is ACE

The 2012 Honda Accord Euro has been designed with some of Honda’s most advanced engineering available. Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure (or ACE) delivers enhanced occupant protection in a variety of real world crash conditions.  The ACE body structure absorbs and actively channels crash energy away from passengers.

Mr. Stephen Collins, Honda Australia’s General Manager Sales and Marketing said the Accord Euro provides Honda’s high levels of safety.

“The Accord Euro is an exceptional car. With its advanced safety features, great driving experience and well equipped specifications, it offers the complete package.”

With a five-star ANCAP safety rating, the Accord Euro offers the protection of front, side and curtain airbags. Its front airbags provide extra protection to the driver and passenger with a sophisticated dual-stage, dual-threshold system, optimising the deployment of the airbag to match the speed and severity of a crash.

Occupants are further protected by the Euro’s strong chassis. Around 50 percent is manufactured from high tensile steel, including the passenger cell frame and front and rear side members, providing greater strength. Honda’s electronic stability control system (Vehicle Stability Assist) and power steering are standard on every Euro. These features are complemented with an innovative Motion Adaptive Electric Power Steering (MAE) system to help prevent over or under steering.
