07-07-2011 at 16:00: Charity Ride Postponement

Brisbane Mowersport announced today that their charity ride through Brisbane will be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The event, which was set to take place in July and sponsored by Hog’s Breath Café, would see riders hit the streets of Brisbane riding ride-on lawn mowers from Aspley to Kingston to help raise money for the Mater Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. The events new date is now set for Saturday October 15.

The planed route through the Brisbane CBD, Mt Gravatt, Calamvale and Browns Plains is still set with the final stop being the Vietnam Vets Club house in Kingston.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances the club has had to make the tough decision of postponing the event till October,” said Brisbane Mowersports Rob Kirkwood.

“Once we have all the good news from everyone involved we will supply a detailed list of the ride so that everyone can get behind us and help raise as much money as we can for this great charity.

“We wish to thank all of the sponsors, Hog’s Breath Café, Repco, Queensland Security Rangers, Boss Compressors and many, many more for helping us get to where we are today and for their continued support of the event in October.

Further details will be given closer to the event.
