Jake Edwards has shocked and wowed audiences with the sheer audacity of his 496 BBC St Torana built himself out of the "Jake's Performance" workshop. His expertise and know-how are unquestioned, however this year he returns with a unique challenge - that of being the first in modern history to win the Horse Power Heroes overall power challenge back to back. Last year he crack the 1500 HP bracket seemingly with ease, the question now is can he go further? Of course he can! Watch as he pulls a huge number with a shattered turbo to boot! Mainline are once again the official dyno suppliers for the Summernats 26 Horsepower Heroes competition. Mainline/DynoLog is totally committed to accuracy, and follows the approach that the dynamometer should determine a vehicle's power. Mainline/DynoLog are recognised as the true & trusted standard for accuracy, consistency and repeatability throughout the industry. 101,486 people attended the car event over four days in the Nation's Capital, a strong increase from the 90,000 who came to Summernats 25. Top car constructor and green homes builder Mick Fabar was the overall winner of Summernats 26, taking out the Grand Champion award. His 1967 model XR Falcon sedan was recognised as the best of the best by Summernats judges. Labelled ZERO'D, Fabar's car is the world's first ecofriendly Super-Elite Muscle Car, a 600 horsepower, turbocharged, biodiesel V8-powered sedan built with a 'zero carbon footprint' approach.
